We are looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer to lead the design, build, and sustainment of blue-space infrastructure supporting cyberspace operations. This is a newly established, pivotal role owning the full-stack blue-space environment — compute and virtualization platforms, identity and public key infrastructure (PKI), and secure communications — that hosts mission tools, operator workstations, and rehearsal/range environments used across the full spectrum of cyberspace operations. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and sustain virtualization/hypervisor, container, and storage infrastructure hosting mission tools, operator workstations, and cyber range/rehearsal environments Own identity, credentialing, and PKI/key management for blue-space personas, infrastructure access, and secure communications tooling, ensuring compliance with PKI and Zero Trust Architecture requirements Architect and maintain secure comms pathways (VPN, enclave segmentation, cross-domain solutions where applicable) Apply Risk Management Framework (RMF), STE/STN, and reciprocity/risk-to-baseline accreditation processes to blue-space systems, maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) posture and supporting continuous monitoring Define and track platform reliability and availability metrics, alerting thresholds, and centralized logging/monitoring for blue-space infrastructure, giving leadership and SOC/IR real-time visibility into system health Lead or support blue-space infrastructure incident response — triage, containment, coordination with operations, and post-incident root-cause reviews with durable corrective actions Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, build standards, and automation pipelines enabling repeatable, auditable provisioning of blue-space compute, network, and identity infrastructure, operating within program IA/security policy guardrails Lead capacity planning, patching, hardening, and lifecycle sustainment of blue-space infrastructure, flagging scaling or capacity risks to program and leadership before they impact mission timelines Coordinate directly with systems engineers, network engineers, software developers, and cyber operations/planning stakeholders to translate mission infrastructure requirements into engineering designs and delivery timelines Mentor journeyman/senior infrastructure engineers and represent blue-space infrastructure status, risks, and roadmap to program and leadership Here's What You Need Minimum 10 years of experience as an infrastructure/systems engineer with BA/BS, or 10 years with MS/MA, or 7 years with Ph.D., or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree with high school diploma Demonstrated expertise in virtualization/hypervisor platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM), containerization (Docker or equivalent), enterprise storage, and hybrid/on-premises compute infrastructure Demonstrated expertise in PKI, identity/credential management, and key management supporting secure communications and Zero Trust Architecture Working knowledge of RMF processes, security controls, and ATO sustainment; familiarity with STE/STN and risk-to-baseline reciprocity processes. Solid Linux/Unix systems administration skills, including experience operating in constrained or restricted environments with limited GUI tooling or remote support DoD 8570/8140-aligned IAT Level II or III certification (or equivalent) required Bonus Points If You Have Experience building or sustaining cyber range, rehearsal Clearance Requirements TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance required As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
