ABOUT THE ROLE This is the first infrastructure hire at a fast-moving agentic integration platform, working directly with the CTO on a clear leadership track. You will own the runtime, agent infrastructure, and observability stack from day one, setting the engineering patterns that every future infrastructure hire builds on. The scope is broad, the impact is immediate, and the expectation is that you grow into leading the team that owns this domain. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design and operate a mini cloud platform for integration runtime: durable execution, sandboxed isolation, and self-healing capabilities. - Build and scale the agent infrastructure that lets coding agents write, test, and deploy integration code in production. - Own the full observability pipeline (logs, metrics, tracing) and ship it as a single-tenant, self-hostable product. - Set the architectural patterns and standards for all future infrastructure work. - Partner directly with the founders, ship to production constantly, and help hire the team around you. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 3 or more years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, ideally at a high-growth startup. - Hands-on experience designing and implementing observability pipelines for production systems (logs, metrics, distributed tracing). - Comfort with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. - Background at a top-tier technology or professional services organization is a strong positive signal. - Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous, under-resourced environments. - Interest in growing into a leadership role within 12 months. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $175,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, CA, United States.
