ABOUT THE ROLE This is a senior, hands-on Solution Architect role focused on Databricks, sitting within a data infrastructure and analytics consulting practice. You will lead and deliver enterprise-scale Databricks implementations for complex clients, acting as a trusted technical authority on the Lakehouse Platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Architect and deliver end-to-end Databricks implementations across client engagements at enterprise scale. - Design and optimize large-scale data platforms with a focus on performance tuning, scalability, and best practices. - Apply deep expertise in Apache Spark and distributed computing, including Spark runtime internals, to solve complex data engineering challenges. - Guide clients on Databricks Lakehouse Platform capabilities, current features, and recommended architecture patterns. - Integrate CI/CD pipelines to support production-grade deployments and ongoing data platform operations. - Apply working knowledge of MLOps practices within the broader data and AI enablement context. - Engage across one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deliver cloud-native data solutions. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 10+ years of consulting experience, including 7+ years focused on Data Engineering, Data Platforms, and Analytics. - Proven track record delivering 6 to 8 or more Databricks implementation projects in a hands-on Solution Architect capacity. - Databricks Data Engineering Professional Certification (strongly preferred). - Strong expertise in Apache Spark and distributed computing, including internals-level knowledge of the Spark runtime. - Deep understanding of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including current capabilities and production best practices. - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP; multi-cloud experience is a plus. - Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines for production deployments. - Working knowledge of MLOps concepts and tooling. - Background in performance tuning, optimization, and scalability of large-scale data platforms. - Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this role. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Up to $80/hr on W2. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION Fully remote, open to candidates based in North America.
