The Role We are looking for a Sr. Full Stack Engineer - MTS 1 to join eBay’s Seller Hub team in Toronto. Seller Hub is eBay’s central seller-facing platform, supporting critical experiences that help sellers manage and grow their businesses. In this role, you will work on one of several Seller Hub work streams, including Orders, Listings, Acquisition, or cross-platform seller experiences. You will build and enhance seller-facing products with a primary focus on backend development, while also contributing to web experiences as needed. This is a strong fit for an engineer who enjoys owning projects end to end, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to grow as a full stack engineer while working on high-impact products used across the marketplace. What You Will Do Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power key Seller Hub experiences Contribute to modern web applications that support intuitive, reliable seller workflows Partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across disciplines to deliver customer-facing features Lead projects independently from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration Contribute to system design and architecture decisions for new and existing platform capabilities Write high-quality, well-tested code and help raise engineering standards across the team Collaborate across work streams as business priorities evolve and team needs shift What You Will Bring Strong software engineering experience with deep backend development expertise Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience building services using Spring Boot Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems, services, or APIs Frontend experience with modern web technologies such as React, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Ability to contribute across the stack, with a willingness to deepen expertise beyond a primary discipline Strong system design or architecture experience Demonstrated experience leading projects and driving delivery with a high degree of ownership Solid understanding of software design, testing, debugging, and engineering best practices Experience working in agile, collaborative engineering teams Nice to Have Experience with Scala Experience building products at enterprise scale Experience working on customer-facing e-commerce or marketplace products Why Join This Team Work on Seller Hub, a core eBay platform that directly impacts sellers across the marketplace Build across multiple problem spaces, including orders, listings, acquisition, and seller workflows Grow as a full stack engineer on a team that values cross-functional learning and flexibility Join a collaborative engineering organization with opportunities for ownership, mentorship, and technical impact What You Can Expect From U s A collaborative, inclusive, and inventive work environment Managers and teammates who are invested in your growth as an engineer and as a person Opportunities to work on meaningful, high-scale products that serve a global marketplace Access to tools, resources, and learning opportunities to support your development If you are a backend-strong engineer with full stack curiosity and a passion for building impactful seller experiences, we would love to meet you. Additional Details The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: C$142,400 - C$190,100 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
