Graduate Data Engineer Description - Mission In the Go To Market Analytics Centre of Excellence, our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning products that optimize pricing and marketing investments and provide guidance to our sales organization. The products we are building are of high value to the company, with the ambition to influence pricing decisions and marketing investments for HP products globally and across all distribution channels, utilizing advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI. To achieve this, we are looking for a Graduate Data Engineer to help implement best engineering practices and transform data from a raw resource into structured, scalable, high-quality, and compliant fuel powering our AI-driven products and solutions. This role is designed for recent graduates looking to launch their careers in data engineering while developing hands-on experience in a highly innovative and collaborative environment. Responsibilities Contribute as part of a cross-functional team to the design and development of secure, scalable, and high-performing data systems and solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, testing, and integration of structured and unstructured data. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. Support operational excellence initiatives focused on reliability, quality, automation, and continuous improvement. Help ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, security, and quality standards. Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and engineering best practices. What we are looking for Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, obtained within the last 12 months. Hands-on experience with data engineering concepts and technologies such as Python, SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), gained through academic projects, internships, research, or personal initiatives. Understanding of data systems, software development best practices, version control (Git), testing, and Agile ways of working. Relevant internship, co-op, or project experience in data engineering, analytics, software engineering, machine learning, or related fields is a strong advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset, curiosity to learn, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Fast learner with a can-do attitude, strong sense of ownership, and passion for leveraging data and technology to solve business challenges.
