Title and Summary Site Reliability Engineer 2 Job Title Site Reliability Engineer II (SRE II) Overview The Site Reliability Engineer II (SRE II) plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and operational excellence of platforms and services. This role supports ITSM practices, monitoring, automation, and cloud-based operations, while contributing to continuous improvement and service resilience. Role Operating in a hybrid capacity—spanning operations, engineering, and process governance—this role focuses on: Ensuring adherence to ITSM best practices (incident, problem, change management) Supporting application and infrastructure reliability through monitoring and proactive issue resolution Assisting with automation and DevOps practices to improve operational efficiency Supporting services running in AWS-based and hybrid environments Contributing to emerging AI-driven initiatives (e.g., chatbot/IVR capabilities) at a foundational level Partnering with engineering and business teams to enhance service performance and availability Supporting compliance with PCI and enterprise audit requirements All About You 2–5+ years of experience in SRE, IT Operations, Production Support, or related roles Beginner-level understanding of ITSM frameworks and best practices Exposure to automation/orchestration tools Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD concepts Beginner to intermediate experience in monitoring applications and infrastructure Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) Awareness of AI-driven or automation-led capabilities (e.g., chatbots, IVR enhancements) Basic understanding of PCI and compliance/audit processes Nice to have: exposure to Contact Center technologies (Avaya, Genesys, IVR) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to operate in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must: Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices; Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed; Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
