Salesforce Core Technical Architect DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Salesforce Professional Services focuses on delivering strategic engagements that define transformational opportunities and articulate clear plans for execution of change programs. We rely on our team's expertise and specialisms to engage with executive-level customers to agree on specific business goals and actions to ignite the full value of Salesforce. Our approach considers people, process, and technology — and a successful engagement includes recommendations to the business for change to support deeper, more relevant use of the Salesforce platform. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE Salesforce is currently seeking a Salesforce Core Technical Architect to join our Professional Services team within Professional Services. This role is centered on being a "Core Platform" subject matter expert, leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and platform solutions. Deep Salesforce Core (Sales/Service Cloud + Platform) expertise is a must , and the ideal candidate will also bring a strong background across the broader Salesforce ecosystem (Experience Cloud, Integration, and AI/Agentforce) to drive cross-cloud success. The Technical Architect is responsible for architecting scalable solutions across enterprise landscapes, ensuring the platform is secure, performant, and ready for enterprise AI usage. You will work closely with Project Managers and other Technical Architects to ensure on-time, fully functioning implementations. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial atmosphere, communicates tactfully with business operations, and effectively designs, tests, and deploys complex software solutions. You must be an excellent communicator who can tailor delivery to a variety of audiences. YOUR IMPACT Through our extended onboarding program of formal certification, internal training, knowledge transfer, hands-on experience and closely working with other Consultants, Architects and Project Managers you will become a Salesforce Domain Authority at the forefront of our offerings, delivering outstanding customer success. Become a Trusted SME: Act as the primary authority for the Salesforce Core platform to support project delivery, including how platform architecture relates to the success of Agentforce and AI. Strategic Design: Drive the creation of application and technical design documents (Blueprints/FSD) which leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer's infrastructure. Scalable Architecture: Design and guide customer's enterprise architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and the Platform, highlighting the importance of data model, sharing/security architecture, and governance. Technical Excellence: Provide guidance on integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, and environment management. Lead code reviews and define coding standards (Apex, LWC, Flows). Stakeholder Management: Facilitate and influence Executive Customer stakeholders while aligning technology strategy to business value and ROI. Risk Mitigation: Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to a successful resolution through proactive risk management. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Salesforce Core Expertise: Direct experience designing and configuring Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud or any Core solution to enable enterprise use cases (lead-to-cash, case management, omni-channel, automation). Architectural Proficiency: Deep knowledge of data modeling, sharing and security architecture, governor limits, and multi-org/landscape strategy, with a strong understanding of metadata and declarative-vs-programmatic trade-offs. Solution Documentation: Ability to clearly and articulately document solutions, including data flows, system diagrams, and technical artifacts. Requirement Translation: Ability to create a solution based on client requirements and map business processes into the Salesforce product suite. Integration Knowledge: Knowledge of API patterns (REST/SOAP/Bulk/Platform Events) and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, middleware, legacy CRM). Technical Leadership: Lead inter-team meetings on technical and business challenges; conduct solutions testing and validation. Mobility: Travel to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations (estimated 25%). Education: Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. PREFERRED Platform Mastery: 5+ years of direct experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and the broader Lightning Platform. AI & Automation: Familiarity with Agentforce, and platform-native automation/AI tooling. Strategic Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, able to present complex concepts at both tactical and executive levels. Technical Background: 8+ years in solution/technical architecture or consulting, with a focus on enterprise application design and complex integrations. Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with adjacent clouds (Experience Cloud, MuleSoft, Data Cloud) and functional domains suc
