ABOUT THE ROLE Join an early-stage B2B software team building a platform for enterprise headcount planning. As a Founding Engineer, you will work closely with founders and early customers to shape the product and deliver practical solutions as the company works toward product-market fit. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Ship and iterate quickly while balancing delivery speed with product quality. - Partner with founders to design solutions for customer problems. - Work directly with customers to diagnose and resolve product issues. - Own substantial parts of the product, from technical design through production release. - Contribute across engineering, product, and customer support in a small team. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 2 years of full-stack software engineering experience, with hands-on frontend and backend web application development. - Experience at a venture-backed startup, as a founder or founding engineer, or in another early-stage environment building a product from the ground up. - Proficiency with web technologies and experience learning and shipping across multiple stacks; the current stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, and Google Cloud Platform. - Experience with systems design, data modeling, low-latency systems, and transport or streaming technologies. - Strong product and user empathy, including the ability to consider how users interact with data. - Comfort working in small teams, taking initiative, and owning work across engineering, product, and customer support. - Experience collaborating with customers or cross-functional teams; B2B software experience, especially in HR or finance, is a plus. - A computer science or engineering degree is preferred. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $165,000 to $210,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in Palo Alto, California, United States.
