About the Team The Cloud Account Governance team is the foundation of our secure, scalable, and efficient cloud architecture. We sit at the intersection of enterprise architecture, cloud security, and financial operations (FinOps)—ensuring that our multi-cloud environment remains compliant, cost-optimized, and frictionless for developers. Rather than acting as a traditional gatekeeper, our mission is to build automated guardrails, streamline account provisioning, and deliver clear policy frameworks that empower engineering teams to move fast without compromising security or budget. About the Role We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our CloudOps team in Dublin, Ireland, to help optimize our multi-cloud infrastructure across our cloud service providers. Sitting directly at the intersection of developer velocity, data visibility, and cloud security, your focus will be ensuring our engineering teams gain safe, seamless, and automated access to cloud environments. You will also leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools (such as Claude, Cursor, and Gemini) to automate cloud lifecycle workflows, eliminate routine operational friction, and scale our platform infrastructure. What You'll Do Support Cloud Account Lifecycles: Provision and maintain AWS Accounts and GCP Projects while keeping cloud environments baseline-compliant. Maintain Cloud Safety Standards: Implement policy guardrails and baseline configurations using AWS Control Tower, GCP Organizational Policies, and Policy-as-Code tools. Build AI-Assisted Automation: Use AI developer tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini) to refactor IaC modules, automate compliance checks, and streamline daily CloudOps workflows. Enable Engineering Teams: Provide responsive, helpful technical support for cloud access, account structures, capacity adjustments, and identity setup. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Security, Platform, and Development teams to refine IAM practices and support cloud security without slowing down development. What You'll Bring Cloud Platform Familiarity: Practical experience working with AWS (Organizations, Control Tower, SCPs) or GCP (Resource Hierarchy, Organizational Policies, Quotas). Infrastructure as Code & Scripting: Ability to write and maintain Terraform or CloudFormation, along with scripting skills in Python or Go. Identity & Access Knowledge: Understanding of core IAM concepts, Service Accounts, and Workload Identity across cloud platforms. AI Tooling Curiosity: Experience or interest in using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Gemini) to write code, debug tasks, and improve productivity. Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills and a desire to partner with internal developers to solve technical challenges. About You Basic Qualifications 2 - 4 years of hands-on Cloud Engineering experience managing multi-account/multi-project cloud environments, with primary focus on GCP and strong proficiency in AWS. Hands-on experience in cloud account lifecycle management , landing zones, and account governance (GCP Organizational Hierarchies/Policies, AWS Organizations, SCPs, GCP Org Policies, IAM). 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and version control, specifically writing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade Terraform and CloudFormation. Demonstrated experience leveraging AI coding and automation tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini) to augment daily development, debugging, and administrative workflows. Other Qualifications Multi-Cloud/Azure (Nice-to-Have): Basic familiarity with Azure governance structures (Management Groups, Subscriptions, Entra ID, ARM). Strong customer-service mindset , with experience assisting development teams with cloud account access, quota management, and self-service configuration troubleshooting. Developer mindset with 2+ years of scripting experience (Python or Go) for operational task automation, CLI tooling, and cloud API integration. Experience using AI to automate account lifecycle workflows, cloud provisioning, or internal developer platform tooling. Relevant AWS or GCP cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect).
