Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Cloud Engineer / HPC to join our team and support our client at Hill AFB in Utah. This role focuses on high ‑ performance compute (HPC) infrastructure for compute ‑ intensive mission workloads. You will work with a Senior Cloud Engineer / HPC on cluster operations, job scheduling, and GPU ‑ accelerated workloads, gradually taking on more design responsibility over time. The ideal candidate has hands-on cloud engineering experience, exposure to HPC job scheduling or GPU ‑ accelerated computing, and thrives in a fast ‑ paced, mission ‑ focused environment. What you’ll do: HPC Operations • Support daily operation of HPC clusters • Operate job schedulers ( Slurm , PBS, etc.) and troubleshoot failures • Support AWS ParallelCluster and/or AWS Batch provisioning GPU & Accelerated Computing • Support industry GPU software configuration & acceleration • Assist with CUDA/ cuDNN setup and troubleshooting • Monitor CPU/GPU utilization across node pools Data Platform & Infrastructure Support • Support integration of HPC compute with data pipelines (Kafka, Airflow, Spark) • Assist with AWS data services (EMR, Redshift, Glue) • Support IaC for cluster provisioning (Terraform, Ansible) Agile Delivery & Collaboration • Participate in sprints, standups, and retrospectives • Document configurations, runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures • Collaborate with Senior Cloud Engineer / HPC and data engineering teams What you’ll need: 2 years cloud or infrastructure engineering Exposure to HPC schedulers or GPU ‑ accelerated computing Understanding of DevOps (e.g.: CI/CD, IaC , GitOps ) Experience with job schedulers (e.g.: Slurm, PBS, etc.) Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell CompTIA Security+ or equivalent preferred Bonus Points if you have: Familiarity with Kafka, Airflow, Spark Familiarity with industry GPU hardware and/or CUDA/cuDNN Working knowledge of AWS ParallelCluster/AWS Batch or ability to learn quickly Experience with AWS data services (EMR, Redshift, Glue) AWS certifications a plus Bachelor’s in CS, Engineering or related field Experience in classified environments (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS) Clearance: Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred Work Environment & Culture • Comfortable in centralized vision, decentralized command structure • Strong Agile mindset • Takes ownership of assigned cluster operations • Fail ‑ fast , fail ‑ forward approach • Growth ‑ oriented and eager to expand HPC/GPU expertise As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
