Join us in our mission to transform how people work. About the role We're seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to architect, maintain, and scale our critical infrastructure. You'll be responsible for ensuring system reliability, optimizing performance, and implementing modern deployment strategies that enable our engineering teams to ship with confidence. This role requires deep technical expertise across AWS, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps tooling, combined with strategic thinking about capacity planning and system evolution. What you'll do - Architect and scale our AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure to suit our evolving requirements - Build and maintain the Terraform modules the rest of engineering relies on for infrastructure changes - Drive capacity planning and cost management across production systems - Build observability into our services with Honeycomb, Sentry, and CloudWatch so issues surface before they become incidents - Manage CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, shared composite actions, and reusable workflows - Own networking, traffic routing, and security configuration, including load balancing, WAF, and DNS What we're looking for - 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles - Deep expertise with AWS services, particularly EKS, VPC, S3, and RDS/Aurora, and Well-Architected framework - Extensive experience with Kubernetes internals, cluster administration, and multi-environment management - Strong proficiency writing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform, including module development and state management - Production experience with CNCF projects such as Helm for package management and Karpenter for node provisioning - Proven experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions - Hands-on experience with observability tooling including Honeycomb, Sentry, and AWS CloudWatch - Deep expertise implementing zero-downtime deployment strategies with automated rollbacks - Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and traffic routing - Experience managing async job processing systems and message queues at scale - Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar) - Proven track record of capacity planning, performance optimization, and cost management initiatives - Familiarity authoring AGENTS.md files and DNA scaffolding that encode our conventions and steer AI review bots Nice to have - Experience designing alerting strategies for production services with on-call runbooks - Proficiency building dashboards and visualizations for real-time service health - Background in database monitoring solutions for RDS Postgres - Experience creating custom metrics and instrumentation for application-specific insights - Hands-on experience with application profiling to identify performance bottlenecks - Experience with Cloudflare WAF including origin shielding and firewall rule management - Familiarity with Okta IdP integration and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations - Experience designing and implementing RBAC systems across AWS and Kubernetes Why you'll love working here - Hard, open problems.
