ABOUT THE ROLE Join a founding engineering team at an early-stage cybersecurity startup building infrastructure to monitor and secure enterprise AI systems. You will own work across the platform, from data ingestion to real-time detection, and help shape its technical direction while working closely with enterprise customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and ship end-to-end features for enterprise deployments, iterating quickly as customer needs emerge. - Develop data pipelines that ingest high-volume telemetry from endpoint, network, identity, and AI systems. - Design real-time detection and policy enforcement for emerging risks in AI agents. - Work directly with customers during evaluations and deployments, including delivering features during active engagements. - Train and evaluate small models for low-latency decisions based on behavioral patterns. - Test models and agents for prompt injection, tool misuse, data exposure, and scope drift. - Contribute to platform architecture and technical direction. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 0 to 5 years of software engineering experience, including internships, with backend or full-stack production deployment experience. - Strong backend and systems fundamentals, including distributed systems, infrastructure, or streaming data pipelines. - Experience at a startup, along with evidence of shipping production systems in high-caliber engineering environments. - Experience with Go or Rust, cloud infrastructure, real-time data systems, or security integrations. - Interest or experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, adversarial testing, applied machine learning, model fine-tuning, or post-training. - Customer-facing engineering experience, quantitative problem-solving, or competitive programming experience is a plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $160,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, California, United States.
