ABOUT THE ROLE Join an early engineering team building AI-native data and software systems for consumer packaged goods and other physical brands. This hands-on, cross-stack role combines customer collaboration with foundational platform work and production AI agents. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and deploy evaluation platforms that create fast feedback loops around product outcomes. - Develop foundational data infrastructure for single-tenant and multi-tenant deployments at terabyte scale. - Own end-to-end delivery of production agents for customer use cases. - Design a context layer that captures how companies operate and supports their workflows. - Work directly with customers to understand business goals and translate them into product capabilities. - Help shape engineering practices, product direction, and team culture. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 3 years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, with strong debugging skills in production environments. - Experience with Python or another server-side language, plus TypeScript and customer-facing product development. - Familiarity with data pipelines, data extraction systems, and cross-stack technical design. - Fluency with AI-native development tools and workflows, including coding agents and tool integrations. - Strong CS fundamentals, demonstrated through education or equivalent software engineering experience. - Experience in a high-engineering-bar environment, or as a founder or founding engineer at a venture-backed startup with demonstrated traction. - Experience with payment systems or agent architectures is a plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $150,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in New York, New York, United States.
