ABOUT THE ROLE Join a small engineering team building an AI-native legal services platform. You will develop reliable agentic systems and full-stack tools that support lawyers in their daily work, with the opportunity to shape an early-stage product. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and improve agent systems, including harnesses, evaluations, and interfaces designed for dependable legal work. - Ship features across the stack, from database and backend services to client-facing tools, lawyer workspaces, and operations dashboards. - Develop integrations with messaging, email, document, e-signature, and billing services to automate legal workflows. - Improve observability, evaluations, and infrastructure to make agent systems more trustworthy and reliable. - Work directly with lawyers to identify problems, scope solutions, and incorporate user feedback. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Three to seven years of full-stack engineering experience, including maintaining and evolving SaaS applications beyond the prototype stage. - Production experience building agentic systems across interfaces, integrations, and backend harnesses, with clear technical ownership of your work. - Experience in high-growth environments and collaborating directly with users to scope technical problems. - Strong experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, tRPC, AWS, and Temporal. - A STEM or computer science degree, strong technical fundamentals, and interest or experience in legal technology or other regulated industries. - Experience with backend observability is useful. Candidates should be able to start immediately or within two weeks. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $180,000 to $250,000 annually, plus 0.1% to 0.6% equity. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, United States.
