ABOUT THE ROLE Join an early-stage team building AI systems for financial markets. In this founding-level role, you will work across trading systems, data infrastructure, and research, taking ideas from initial exploration through production. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own projects end to end, from ideation and implementation through launch in production. - Build and extend data pipelines, trading signals, and research infrastructure. - Develop automated execution systems and tools that help the team move quickly from ideas to live experiments. - Collaborate with quantitative and AI researchers on approaches to market prediction. - Contribute across trading infrastructure, machine learning, and security as team needs evolve. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - One to five years of full-time experience as a software engineer or quantitative developer. - A degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or physics. - Strong software engineering skills in Python or C++ and a track record of independently shipping a project from concept to production. - Experience in quantitative development, trading systems, data infrastructure, systematic research, high-frequency trading, crypto, or fintech. - Strong statistical intuition, comfort with noisy real-world data, and experience using AI-assisted development tools. - Experience at a quantitative trading firm, including through an internship, is a plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary is $200,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in Palo Alto, California, six days per week.
