ABOUT THE ROLE Join the R&D team at a Series A robotics startup building software for AI-driven robots in production environments. You will work across the robotics stack to improve how robots perform in real-world facilities. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Orchestrate real-time robot software, motion-planning optimization systems, and machine learning pipelines across different platforms. - Build and maintain data-labeling frontends, perception systems, and optimizing compilers for robot intelligence. - Work across firmware, hardware integration, robotics software, and cloud infrastructure to solve technical challenges. - Collaborate with teammates to design, build, and ship systems for production robotics. - Deploy software at customer facilities and help ensure it performs reliably in real-world conditions. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 1 to 3 years of software engineering experience in robotics, automation, or embedded systems, with hands-on experience shipping software for production robotic or other physical systems. - Strong programming fundamentals and proficiency in Python; experience with TypeScript and React is a plus. - Experience with ROS, C/C++, Docker, Kubernetes, and systemd is relevant to the role. - Understanding of full-system robotics and hardware/software integration. - A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, robotics, or a related engineering field. - Experience in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment and comfort shifting focus as priorities change. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $130,000 to $180,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available; candidates must be eligible for a visa transfer and not require new sponsorship. LOCATION On-site in Boston, Massachusetts.
