ABOUT THE ROLE Join a cross-functional engineering team at a growth-stage construction technology company, building software that helps contractors manage their operations. You will combine hands-on full-stack development with technical leadership, shaping production systems that serve users and support business goals. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Lead the design and end-to-end implementation of large, complex technical products. - Build and maintain modular infrastructure across frontend interfaces, backend APIs, and services. - Develop data models, APIs, and integrations with payment and verification services. - Work with product, design, and business partners to understand user needs and inform product direction. - Deliver production-ready software and promote strong testing, performance, and security practices. - Mentor teammates and raise engineering standards through technical feedback and collaboration. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Four or more years of full-stack software engineering experience, including a Senior-level role and delivery of complex production systems. - Strong skills in Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with experience in React and React Native. - Experience with data modeling, API development, and modular full-stack systems. - Balanced frontend, backend, and infrastructure skills, along with strong computer science fundamentals. - A product-oriented mindset, clear communication skills, and the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical partners. - Experience in a high-growth startup or similarly fast-moving engineering environment. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $190,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, California, or New York City. The primary location is San Francisco.
