Senior Backend Developer Important Information Location: Singapore Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance backend services supporting payment processing and transaction switching platforms. Develop and maintain integrations with international payment schemes including: Visa Mastercard American Express UPI Support payment platform migration initiatives including implementation of Base24-eps on Linux RHEL / Cloud environments . Analyse technical requirements and contribute to solution design, architecture discussions, and technical documentation. Develop high-performance backend components for large-scale transaction processing environments. Perform system optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for payment switching platforms. Work closely with QA teams, frontend teams, business stakeholders, banks, vendors, and payment partners. Ensure solutions comply with payment security requirements including: PCI-DSS standards Card scheme requirements Secure transaction processing practices Document system architecture, integration flows, and technical specifications. Mandatory Skills & Elaboration Backend development experience with strong hands-on programming using C++ for enterprise-grade applications and transaction processing systems Strong experience developing backend applications running on Linux environments, preferably RHEL Experience in payment systems including payment gateways, transaction processing, card payments, or switching platforms Experience integrating with international payment schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI or similar payment networks Hands-on experience with Linux shell scripting, preferably Korn Shell scripting Experience working with PostgreSQL or relational databases in backend applications Experience with AWS Cloud environments supporting backend/payment applications Experience with IBM MQ middleware for enterprise messaging/integration Experience with Base24-eps payment switching platform Experience with payment security standards including PCI-DSS and secure transaction processing practices About Encora Encora is a global company that offers Software and Digital Engineering solutions.
